Free Caregiver Admission

Looking for some fun things to do this summer, without having to pay extra for a caregiver’s admission? Below is a list of some Portland-area attractions that offer free admission for caregivers.

Columbia River Maritime Museum
Any person with a disability who purchases an admission or movie ticket, or is a current member of the museum, is eligible for a complimentary companion ticket. The complimentary ticket is provided for a professional aide who assists the visitor during their time at the museum. The aide must be a person whose role is to support the visitor with tasks related to their visit, such as mobility, communication, or other support services. ​Only one professional aide will be eligible for a complimentary ticket per visitor with a disability.

Enchanted Forest

Enchanted Forest is committed to ensuring that all visitors and guests have to opportunity to experience and enjoy the many attractions the park has to offer. In addition to the existing services and accommodations offered by Enchanted Forest to persons with disabilities, it shall be the policy of Enchanted Forest to provide free admission to the primary caretaker of any disabled guest.

Freakybuttrue Peculiarium

We have a nonprofit rate for groups with caregivers (caregivers get complementary admission, and clients pay $5 per person), and groups of 5 or more get an admission discount.

Hopscotch

Hopscotch Portland does not offer an official, advertised "caregiver ticket" with a universal discounted code, but they do accommodate support staff. For guests who require a paid assistant or support person, you can purchase a standard Adult ticket Tickets - Hopscotch and call their customer service ahead of your visit to waive or adjust the entry fee for the caregiver.

Lan Su Chinese Garden

Lan Su honors complimentary entry for one caregiver of each visitor with a mobility issue necessitating an extra helping hand.

Oaks Park

Complimentary caregiver wristbands, Roller Rink admission tickets, and mini golf admission tickets are available for those assisting guests with special needs (one caregiver per ADA guest).

OMSI

Professional aides accompanying a visitor with a disability receive free museum admission. One aide per visitor.

Oregon Coast Aquarium

Admission is waived for one caregiver per guest with a disability.

Oregon Zoo

A person with a disability who holds a ticket or membership reservation is provided a complimentary ticket for their one-to-one support person. One-to-one support tickets cannot be reserved online. On the visit date, the ticket or membership reservation holder and one-to-one support person can check in with a staff member at the entry to obtain a complimentary ticket matching the ticket holder’s time slot.

Portland Art Museum

Access companions and care-providers accompanying Disabled visitors receive free admission. They can be requested at the admissions desk or requested in advance by emailing or calling and giving us your name, contact info, date/time of your ticket, and request a companion ticket and we will reserve one that will be waiting for you at the admission desk.

Regal Cinemas

Guests attending our theatres in an assistant/companion role for one of our guests with disabilities may be passed in by management.

Wings and Waves Waterpark

Guests with disabilities must have ticket to enter. There is no charge for (1) accompanying caregiver. “Caregiver” is defined as one who provides care for another person who needs help with everyday tasks because of aging, illness, injury or disability.
